Holiday Recycling

You still have a few days left to recycle Christmas lights in Georgetown and you can still try to contact some of the drop-off sites to see if they’ll accept trees.  There is a list of free drop-off sites if you scroll down toward the bottom of this page.


Be Weather Aware

While we’re in the middle of a fairly mild, and uneventful stretch of winter, the forecast can bring us a deep freeze at any point between now and spring. This KXAN article provides some good info about averages and statistics regarding freezes.


Lease Reminder

Summer is coming soon, and that makes things very busy for us.  If you’re not familiar with your lease end date please check your lease and reach out to us sooner than later to discuss renewals or provide notice that you’re going to vacate at the end of your lease.  We will be extremely busy during the spring and summer months, so the sooner you reach out the more time we’ll have to work with you.


Annual Inspections

Did you know that we lease more homes in the Spring/Summer than any other time of year? That means we have the most annual inspections due beginning January through June than any other time of year. In an effort to stay ahead of the upcoming busy summer season, we are working hard to get annual inspections scheduled now. Please be on the lookout for important communications coming from our Field Operations team in the coming weeks requesting appointments to complete your inspection. Your cooperation and prompt communication is greatly appreciated! 


Resident Benefits Package HVAC Filters

All tenants who are on the $50 or $39.05 package should be getting replacement filters every month as of 1/1/23 at no additional cost to you.  Please keep an eye out for these deliveries, and if you don’t receive them each month please contact Second Nature whose info is on the filter deliveries or reach out to your property manager.


DIY Maintenance

There are some things you can easily do yourself, and are good to know in general.  We have quite a few tips on our website that can save you the hassle of having to get maintenance out, and/or the cost of a maintenance chargeback in some cases.  When we receive maintenance requests we will usually try to troubleshoot them with you to resolve the issue or get more information to determine the best course of action.

Another resource we want to share with you is a DIY maintenance YouTube channel that we think is great.  While some of the tips on this channel are not appropriate for a rental home there are quite a few others that are great knowledge that is being shared. We think is a good bookmark to keep around for all, tenant or landlord.
